In this workshop, George Faller, LMFT will share how Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) can help you work with the third (and least talked about) of the three key attachment systems of romantic love: the sexual attachment system.

• A 3-stage EFT map to understand and work with a client’s sexual attachment system
• How to bring up sex and four assessment questions to ask about it
• How to help clients balance their longings and fears about sex
• 8 major components of optimal, healthy sex (and 2 minor ones)
• How to identify emotional and sexual “pursuer and withdrawer” behaviors (and why it matters)
• The “CPR” approach to handling blocks when talking about sex in a session

Course Instructor

George Faller, LMFT

George Faller, LMFT is a certified trainer, supervisor, and therapist in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

George is the Founder and President of the New York Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy. His work focuses on helping clients reconnect and strengthen their relationships.

He’s the coauthor of True Connection, Sacred Stress, and Emotionally Focused Family Therapy.

Prior to a career in the field of mental health, George spent 20 years as a New York City firefighter and police officer. His experiences as a FDNY Peer Counselor, particularly following the events of 9/11, sparked his passion to help those most impacted by trauma.
